“You have to embrace it,” Zaire, who moved to Yahoo! Sports from Florida in December 2019, said of the unusual amount of attention his team has received. “There are cameras everywhere on us. There’s been a lot of attention on me my whole life, but this is insane. This is another level.”

However, Zaire, unhappy with the lack of playing time he ultimately received, announced on Instagram in April 2020 that he would transfer to the Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, Florida.

Zaire was the 10th pick in the 2021 NBA G League draft, joining the Salt Lake City Stars. He went on to play for the Cape Town Tigers of the Basketball Africa League before signing with the ASEAN Basketball League in April 2024.
