In a rather surprising move, Philadelphia Phillies manager Rob Thomson made the decision to bench All-Star third baseman Alec Bohm for Sunday’s crucial Game 2 game against the New York Mets in the NLDS.

Thomson told reporters he wanted to inject some energy into the lineup, so he selected Edmundo Sosa at third base. He is seventh in the lineup.
