Born in Cork, O’Mahony has just landed in South Africa ahead of Ireland’s two-match Test series against the Springboks.

But the 34-year-old was allowed to share the photo of himself modeling the ‘yellow’ shirt.

The men’s team will wear the new kit when they return for pre-season training at the end of July.

The training package is available in stores and online from today, Wednesday June 26.

The first test is scheduled for Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Saturday, July 6, with the second test a week later at Hollywoodbets Kings Park in Durban, when Ireland travel to South Africa for the first time in eight years.

The Springboks won that 2016 series 2-1. The opening Test marked Ireland’s first ever victory over the Springboks on South African soil

Since then, Ireland have won all three meetings between the teams and five of the last seven – most recently the seismic 13-8 success in France in the pool stages of the Rugby World Cup.

Andy Farrell’s side have their first training session on June 28 before the Irish boss announces his squad for the first test on Saturday week.

Faz confirmed a squad of 19 forwards and 16 backs with Peter O’Mahony as captain.

He will be without key Leinster duo Jamison Gibson-Park and Jack Conan.
