Pep Guardiola makes interesting prediction about Manchester United

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has commented on Manchester United’s upcoming campaign following a busy summer transfer window.

After winning a record four Premier League titles in a row, Manchester City begin the new season with the ambition of continuing their incredible run. On Sunday night they travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.

But like last season, they are likely to push themselves to the limit as several teams have improved this summer, including Liverpool and Arsenal.

Discussing the strength of Premier League teams, Guardiola heaped praise on rivals Manchester United and lauded their signings last summer.

“Arsenal is not worth talking about. Liverpool is not worth talking about,” he said, via the Express.

“I know United’s transfers will seize the momentum and they will be there.”

The Red Devils strengthened their defense with players like Mathias De Ligt and Leny Yoro and added Joshua Zirkzee to their attacking line.

The Dutch striker showed why he is a hot target for many European clubs as he scored the winning goal on his Old Trafford debut in Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Fulham.

De Ligt was also on the bench, but Yoro was absent because he was injured in the pre-season against Arsenal and was therefore sidelined.
