Pedestrian struck by tractor in Westfield dies | News, sports, jobs

WESTFIELD – A Dunkirk man died Friday after he was struck by a tractor while walking on Route 394.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the city around 1:21 a.m. on a report of the pedestrian-motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Andrew T. Seelbinder, 37, was struck by a tractor traveling northbound. Seelbinder died as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident. His name was released by authorities this morning.

No charges are expected as a result of this incident. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Westfield Police Department, Jamestown Police Department, New York State Police, Westfield Chautauqua County Fire Department EMS and the Chautauqua County Coroner’s Office.
