Pedestrian fatally struck in downtown Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A man died early Monday morning after being struck by a car in downtown Cleveland.

The crash happened around 1:15 a.m. at W. 2nd Street and Huron Road.

Cleveland EMS said the victim, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Huron Road was closed for several hours during the investigation.
