The 2024 Paris Olympics are here, and you know what that means: It’s time to see Katie Ledecky dominate the swimming world again. Ledecky made her Olympic debut at age 15 at the 2012 London Games. Now, at 27, she has the chance to become the most decorated female swimmer in Olympic history. Coming into the Games, Ledecky had already won 10 medals: seven gold and three silver. At the Paris Games, she’ll compete in four events: the 400-, 800-, and 1500-meter freestyle individual events, and the 4×200-meter freestyle relay.

So far, Ledecky has taken bronze in the 400m freestyle and won her eighth gold medal (and 12th overall) in the women’s 1500m freestyle. In qualifying for the 1500, Ledecky built a massive 18-second lead — despite concerns that the Olympic pool is slow this year. Next up, Ledecky will compete in the women’s 4x200m freestyle final, which takes place this afternoon at approximately 3:45 p.m. ET following early morning qualifying.
