P5,000 incentive for Mandaue Palaro athletes

EACH Palarong Pambansa 2024 athlete representing the City of Mandaue will be given a reward of P5,000, along with bonuses for medals won, the city government announced on Thursday, July 4, 2024.

The additional bonuses for winning a medal are P10,000 for gold, P7,000 for silver and P5,000 for bronze.

The city government said the support is intended to motivate and encourage athletes to strive for victories in their sport.

The athletes, who compete in various disciplines including futsal, football, Arnis, Sepak Takraw and more, expressed their gratitude to Mayor Jonas Cortes and the City Government of Mandaue for their continued support.

Venues in Palarong Pambansa, including the Ateneo de Cebu and the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex, are ready to host the competitions.

During a closing conference, the athletes received important instructions and their concerns were discussed.
