Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler reunite in ad for hometown English soccer team – 98KUPD – Arizona’s Real Rock

Ozzy Osbourne And Geezer Butler are back together in a new commercial for English side Aston Villa FC, based in their home city of Birmingham.

The advertisement states the former Black Sabbath Band members are excited about Aston Villa’s recently unveiled kit for the 2024-25 Premier League season.

The clip opens with Ozzy phoning Geezer and shouting: “Let’s play Villa Park!”, referring to Aston Villa’s home stadium. “As long as I’m a left winger,” Butler replies.

The whole thing is composed by Sabbath’s “Paranoid”. There’s also a shot of Ozzy’s bulldog wearing a Villa shirt. You can stream it now on YouTube.

Hopefully the ad means that Ozzy and Geezer have patched up their recent differences. In a 2023 interview with Rolling Stone UKOzzy said that Geezer had not contacted him due to his various health issues over the years. Butler then responded that he had tried to contact Ozzy twice but had never heard back.
