Overwatch 2 Arrives on Xbox Game Pass with Exclusive Perks

Overwatch 2 launches today, September 17, on Xbox Game Pass, bringing with it a number of exclusive perks.

These include six hero skins (Cardboard Reinhardt, Turtleship DVa, Cyberdragon Hanzo, Street Runner Genji, Bee Mercy, and Cleric Lifeweaver), 30 Mythic Prisms, an additional 10 percent XP boost, and access to select Overwatch 2 Shop cosmetics from the past three seasons of the free-to-play game.

Game Pass users must link their Battle.net account to an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Xbox Game Pass for Console, or PC Game Pass account before November 11 to receive these benefits.

“These rewards will remain active as long as you keep your accounts linked and subscribe to one of the qualifying Xbox Game Pass account tiers,” Blizzard said.

Below is an overview of how to link your accounts:

  1. Go to your Battle.net account connection page.
  2. Next to Xbox Network, check to see if the Xbox account with your eligible Game Pass subscription is listed. If the correct account is linked, you’re all set!
  3. If no account is listed, click the +Connect button to begin the linking process. Make sure you are linking the correct account; account links have cooldowns that limit how often they can be changed. Customer Support cannot assist with bypassing cooldowns when linking accounts.
  4. If the wrong Xbox account is listed and it has been more than 1 year since the accounts were linked:
  • Click Disconnect
  • Click +Connect to start the linking process for the correct Xbox account
  • If the wrong Xbox account is listed and the link cooldown period has not yet expired, you will need to use a new or different Battle.net account to link to your Xbox account.
  • On Friday, Blizzard shared more about Overwatch 2’s previously announced collaboration with World of Warcraft, which will release as part of the MMO’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
