Over 1,000 players compete in Philly’s Icarus Cup

CASA Soccer helped set up the tournament, using its experience setting up rec leagues across the country, including in Philadelphia, to manage the hundreds of players who competed throughout the weekend. Speaking ahead of the event, CEO Nolan Bair said the annual tournament was “like a mini World Cup” with the mix of cultures participating.

“People who come with different experiences, different football backgrounds, hearing what they do in their city where they play, what their leagues are like, it’s so interesting,” Bair said. “And it really adds a bit of flavor and character to the tournament.”
