Open Championship Betting Odds: Favourites to Win at Royal Troon

As he has for most of this season, Scottie Scheffler is once again the favorite to win a Major.

The world No. 1 claimed his sixth title of the year at the Travelers Championship last month after beating Tom Kim in a play-off, continuing his incredible run of dominance on the PGA Tour.

It is therefore no surprise that bookmakers regard him as the big favourite to win the Open Championship at Royal Troon.

According to British betting website Oddschecker, the odds on Scheffler winning the Claret Jug are just 9/2.

The 28-year-old was also a favourite for the other three Majors this year before the tournament, but that resulted in only one victory at the Masters.

Scheffler is hoping to win his first Open title and third Major at Royal Troon after finishing 23rd, 21st and 8th in his last three championships.

The next favourite with the bookmakers is Rory McIlroy, who will be hoping to bounce back from a terrible slump at the US Open last month.

The Northern Irishman, who is still in the hunt for his first Major since the 2014 PGA Championship, is listed at 8/1.

The man who won at Pinehurst No.2 last month, Bryson DeChambeau, is third favourite at Royal Troon at odds of 12/1.

PGA Championship winner Xander Schauffele is listed slightly higher at 14/1.

Ludvig Aberg, who was the favourite to win the US Open after two rounds, is priced at 18/1 to win his first Major at The Open.

Defending champion Brian Harman, who won the Claret Jug at Royal Liverpool by five strokes last year, will pay a whopping 66/1 to make it two straight wins this year.
