‘Only Murders In The Building’ Renewed For Season 5 On Hulu

Only murders in the building has been renewed for a fifth season on Hulu. The new season of the 20th Television Original Comedy Series will consist of 10 episodes.

The series has earned 49 Emmy Award nominations in three seasons to date. Most recently, Only murders in the building was nominated for 21 Emmys in several major categories, including Best Comedy Series, Best Actor in a Leading Role for Martin and Short Film, Best Actress in a Leading Role for Gomez and Best Supporting Actress for Meryl Streep.

Season 4 premiered on August 27 with new episodes airing weekly on Tuesdays, concluding with the finale on October 8. Returning stars include Martin, Short, Gomez, Streep, Michael Cyril Creighton, Jane Lynch, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph. New cast additions include Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Eva Longoria, Jane Lynch, Richard Kind, Melissa McCarthy, Kumail Nanjiani, and Molly Shannon.

In Season 4, the show travels from New York City to Los Angeles, where Charles (Martin), Oliver (Short) and Mabel (Gomez) grapple with the shocking events at the end of Season 3 surrounding the untimely death of Charles’ stunt double Sazz’s Pataki (Lynch). Wondering whether Sazz or Charles was the intended victim, the trio’s investigation takes them cross-country, where a Hollywood studio is preparing to make a film about the Only murders podcast. As the amateur sleuths race back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey: traversing the courtyard of their building to delve into the twisted lives of the residents of Arconia’s West Tower.

Only murders in the building comes from co-creators and writers Martin and John Hoffman. Season 4 executive producers include Hoffman, Martin, Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal.
