OnePlus makes the best foldable phone out there – of course it comes out with a OnePlus Open 2

Natural hates a vacuum, and in the absence of a new version of the OnePlus Open foldable phone, we’re being treated to speculation that we may never see another foldable phone from OnePlus. That’s how I choose to view the reports out of China speculating that a company is about to abandon its foldable phone efforts, with fingers pointing at the phone-making conglomerate that OnePlus is a part of.

Specifically, 163.com in China claims that a major company will suspend its foldable phone product lines, although the report never seems to explicitly say who that will be. (To be fair, that could be a limitation of the translation feature that turned the report into English.) Nevertheless, a number of tech sites like NotebookCheck and Android Central picked up the report, and by process of elimination the assumption is we’re talking about Vivo , Oppo and OnePlus, all of which fall under the BBK Electronics umbrella.
