One swimmer rescued, but one still missing near Myrtle Beach | Myrtle Beach News

MYRTLE BEACH — City crews searched for the body of a missing swimmer in late August and the search could continue into the next day, officials said.

Around 5:20 p.m., two swimmers were in distress near 12th Avenue South, according to a city news release. One swimmer was rescued, but the other, described as a young man, was not found.

A customer wrote a negative review. This Murrells Inlet restaurant is now suing her.

Rescue workers and Myrtle Beach Ocean Rescue and Beach Patrol assisted in the search, as did the U.S. Coast Guard.

“You will see police, fire and coast guard vehicles along the beach tonight and possibly tomorrow,” the city’s press release said. “Please keep the family of this young man in your thoughts.”
