One deceased found after a boat accident on the Muskingum

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ohio (WTAP) – Crews have responded to a fatal boating accident in Ohio. Here’s what we know so far.

One man is dead after a boating accident on the 500 block of River Road.

Crews responded to a boating accident involving two men on the Muskingum River.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, one man was found deceased upon arrival and the other was transported and taken to be treated for his injuries.

The boat reportedly hit something in the water, causing both men to be thrown from the boat into the water.
