Olympic wrestler DISQUALIFIED after weighing less than a pound over target weight, hours before finals

A female wrestler at the Olympic Games has been disqualified just hours before the finals after being less than half a kilo overweight.

Indian star Vinesh Phogat, 29, was found to be 2 kilograms (4 pounds) over her target weight on Tuesday, having stayed up all night in a desperate attempt to lose the weight.

She spent the night jogging and cycling as the Indian Olympic contingent begged for some time off.
