Okotoks Dawg Jay Shueler Signs Contract With Blue Jays – HighRiverOnline.com

The Okotoks Dawgs have announced that right-handed pitcher Jay Schueler has signed with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Schueler, a native of Sterling, Illinois, is a strikeout machine. He went seven and two-thirds innings while attending Southeastern University in the NAIA during the 2024 season. In the 2023 season, Schueler went 24 complete innings and collected 32 K’s.

Before coming to Okotoks to play summer ball, Schueler played summer ball in 2023 with Penisula of the Coastal Plain League. He would go on to throw 25 full innings and strike out 30 batters.

Schueler has not yet taken the mound for the Dawgs due to injury, but he has been in the bullpen and the dugout promoting the Dawgs, proving himself to be a team player.
