Okanagan Granfondo Penticton welcomed thousands of cyclists – Penticton News

A great day for Granfondo

The City of Penticton today hosted the 12th annual Okanagan Granfondo Penticton, which attracted cycling enthusiasts from around the world.

More than 2,000 cyclists, representing seven provinces in Canada, ten states in the US and participants from as far away as Dubai, Mexico and the United Kingdom, took part in Sunday’s event.

“It’s great to welcome so many riders back to the area this year. At a time when cyclists have so many choices for riding, we are always grateful that they chose us and Penticton. It speaks volumes about the charm of our city and the exceptional experience we offer,” said Jodi Cross, Executive Director of the Okanagan Granfondo Penticton.

In addition to the cyclists, the event attracted 4,500 family members, friends and supporters to Penticton.

Participants could choose from four scenic routes that showcased the scenery of Penticton, Summerland and the Oliver region.

Planning for the 2025 event is already underway. The next Okanagan Granfondo Penticton is scheduled for Sunday, July 13, 2025.
