Odds REDUCED of Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag becoming first Premier League player to be sacked

Is Erik ten Hag already in trouble at Manchester United after two consecutive Premier League defeats against Brighton and Liverpool?

Man Utd searched for a new manager last summer but ultimately decided to stick with Ten Hag, despite the Dutch tactician’s lack of convincing performance at Old Trafford so far.

It appears Ten Hag’s poor start to the season has convinced a number of betting markets that he won’t be at the club for much longer, with Ladbrokes quickly reducing the odds that he will become the first Premier League manager to lose his job this season.

Ten Hag was 7/1 on being the first manager to be sacked in 2024/25 before the 3-0 home defeat to Liverpool. He is now down to 2/1.

That means the former Ajax manager is now ranked higher than the likes of Everton’s Sean Dyche and Leicester City’s Steve Cooper in the race to be sacked…

Nicola McGeady from Ladbrokes said: “The critics are flocking to Erik ten Hag and after yesterday’s humiliating defeat at home to Liverpool, the Dutch national coach immediately went to the head of the sack races.”

**Next Premier League manager to leave

2/1 Erik ten Hag, 3/1 Sean Syche, 8/1 Enzo Maresca, 10/1 Steve Cooper, 12/1 bar
