More from the interview with Djokovic

Djokovic added in the blockbuster BBC interview after his match: “It’s fine, it’s fine, it’s okay. I’m addressing the respectful people, the ones who have respect, who have the tickets to come and watch me tonight.

“Those who love tennis, who appreciate the players and their commitment.

“I’ve played in much more hostile environments, believe me. You can’t touch me.”

Breaking News: Djokovic Furious on Centre Court

An angry Novak Djokovic lashed out at the Wimbledon RUNE BOYS, who he claims tried to intimidate him on Centre Court.

The Serb, who beat Holger Rune 6-3 6-4 6-2 in the fourth round, was unhappy with the Pimm’s-driven gamblers cheering on the Danish star.

Djokovic, who is now playing in his 15th Wimbledon quarter-final, said: “To all the fans who have respect and stayed tonight, thank you from the bottom of my heart, I appreciate it.

“To all those people who chose to disrespect the game and one player, in this case me, GOOD night. GOOD night. Very good night.

“They showed no respect to me. I don’t accept it, no, no, no.”

Djokovic to lively crowd

Novak Djokovic was in a cheerful mood after his three-set victory over Holger Rune.

Many spectators in Centre Court chanted “Ruuuuune” throughout the match.

Speaking to the BBC’s Rishi Persad after the match, Djokovic teased: “To all the fans who showed us respect and stayed here tonight, I think you appreciate that from the bottom of my heart.

“And to all those people who chose to disrespect the player (in this case me): have a wonderful evening.”

What a way to win it

Wow, that was impressive indeed.

A ruthless performance finished in style: a backhand that landed in the corner, followed by a magnificent volley that landed over the net.

Awesome stuff.

He celebrates this by playing the violin, because his daughter Tara has taken lessons.

Beautiful moment.

Rune messed around

Holger escapes the first break point at 4-2 after a ‘brain freeze’, drops a ball next to him and the ball just misses. That would have been embarrassing.

Speaking of embarrassing, the foul on his second serve is terrible – the ball was way too long.

Double fault. Double fraction.

Djokovic will serve for it…

Djokovic slips… then goes down

Not a good point for Novak Djokovic’s legs – and especially his right knee.

He slips while hitting a forehand and loses his balance while hitting a backhand.

He gets up rather cautiously, but he should be fine. There is nothing serious going on.
