‘Not true’: Ella Emhoff denies nervous breakdown after presidential loss to stepmother Harris

Ella Emhoffthe stepdaughter of Vice President Kamala Harris, denied rumors about her mental health on Instagram on Saturday after Harris’ loss in the presidential election. She refuted claims that she was hospitalized due to a breakdown.
‘There is a rumor that I am having a nervous breakdown and will be admitted to hospital. Not true. And f–k you if you spread that. There is nothing wrong with showing emotions and crying. Anyone who says otherwise probably needs a good cry,” Emhoff wrote in her post.
The rumors started after Emhoff’s emotional reaction during Harris’ concession speech. Emhoff was seen crying during the event, which took place at Howard University. In her Instagram response, she posted a photo of herself with her dog, seemingly contradicting the circulating stories.

Emhoff also emphasized the importance of mental health, saying, “I’ve struggled with my mental health my entire life, and I’m not ashamed of it.”
Kamala Harris married Douglas Craig Emhoff, an American lawyer, on August 22, 2014. Emhoff is the daughter of Doug Emhoff and his first wife, film producer Kerstin Mackin. She has previously used her social media platform to promote various causes, including fundraising for Palestinian relief.
