Noida school attack: Government calls for action

Noida: Authorities of a private school in Noida’s Sector 27, where a three-year-old girl was sexually abused by a 30-year-old staffer earlier this month, have been asked to take action against the principal and headmistress of the institute, Noida city magistrate Vivekanand Mishra said Saturday.

The development came hours after around 200 parents of students at the school staged a protest but could not meet the school principal but instead met DM Manish Kumar Verma.

“We formed a committee of officials… Detailed discussions were held with the members of the school management… Due to parents’ concerns about safety/security or other issues, the school management assured that the issues would be addressed, and also that action would be taken. against principal or other teachers etc, management will take action,” the DM told ANI.

When asked if anyone has been expelled from the school, the DM said, “During the meeting, we were verbally informed about the principal, principal and others, but a written confirmation is awaited…”

The school board could not be reached for a response to the latest developments.

The suspect in the case was arrested on October 10 after the girl’s parents filed a complaint with the police. On Thursday, police arrested the school’s security officer and the girl’s class teacher for allegedly trying to hush up the incident.
