No BCCI-PCB dialogue on 2025 Champions Trophy at ICC annual conference

The four-day International Cricket Council (ICC) Annual Conference ended today in Colombo and there was no discussion of the 2025 Champions Trophy. The issue was not on the agenda of today’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and was not even discussed on the sidelines.

“It was not on the agenda and therefore was not discussed or raised during the General Meeting,” said an official who attended the General Meeting.

A senior official of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), who was present in Colombo for all four days, confirmed that there had been no consultation between the BCCI and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over the Champions Trophy.

“It is not a bilateral meeting where two boards are having discussions. There was no dialogue between us and PCB on the Champions Trophy. Since it was not on any agenda, it was not discussed during the AGM. It will take some time and ICC will handle it,” said a top BCCI official.
