Nikita Parris: Brighton discuss terms with England striker over Manchester United transfer

Brighton are discussing terms of a deal to permanently sign England striker Nikita Parris from Manchester United.

The 30-year-old was United’s top scorer last season and won the Women’s FA Cup for the first time.

The Euro 2022 winners played a pre-season friendly against Leicester City on Wednesday, but Parris was in Brighton on Friday as the Women’s Super League club look to complete the transfer before the 23:00 BST transfer deadline.

With Parris’ contract expiring in the summer, United invoked an option clause to extend her stay for another year, for which interested parties would have to pay a fee.
