NFL Rumors: 49ers’ Christian McCaffrey ‘a matter of weeks’ due to Achilles injury | News, scores, highlights, stats and rumors

It doesn’t appear that McCaffrey, who has been away all year, will return anytime soon.

“There’s no telling when he’ll be back,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said Thursday (33 seconds below).

“It certainly seems more like a matter of weeks than McCaffrey nearing a return, which means more Jordan Mason for the San Francisco 49ers.”

McCaffrey led the NFL with 2,023 yards from scrimmage and 21 touchdowns last season. The three-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro earned Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year honors for his efforts.
