NFL News Updates: Rams’ Puka Nacua Injured Against Lions, Browns’ David Njoku Fears Severe Ankle Sprain

All but two of the 32 NFL teams have already begun their 2024 seasons, and the impact of Week 1 is now visible.

From a couple of major injuries that could impact the Los Angeles Rams and Cleveland Browns, and pretty much every fantasy league, to the Tyreek Hill incident in Miami and the quarterback situation in Pittsburgh, it’s sure to be a busy week off the field.

Yahoo Sports keeps you up to date with live updates, news and notes from around the league as the season gets underway.

In a blowout loss to Dallas, Browns tight end David Njoku left early with a lower leg injury that, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport, may be a high ankle sprain. Njoku will undergo tests Monday to confirm the severity of the injury.

Puka Nacua had four catches for 35 yards before leaving the Rams’ Sunday night loss to the Detroit Lions. He was stretchered off the sideline after the second quarter and did not return.

After Russell Wilson suffered a calf injury late in training camp, forcing Justin Fields into the starting lineup for Week 1, the Steelers enter Week 2 with questions about the quarterback position following an 18-10 loss at Atlanta in which Fields threw for 157 yards.
