NFL injury tracker Week 7: Jonathan Taylor out again, Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers are allowed to play

The high ankle sprain suffered by Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor will keep him out of the lineup for Week 7.

Taylor hasn’t played since Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and has yet to return to the practice field.

“Once they said high ankles, I knew high ankles usually last four to six (weeks), but you know, me, dealing with different rehab treatments and injuries, I thought, ‘That can’t be possible,'” Taylor said Thursday. I have to just doing everything in my power to reduce that every day.”

Meanwhile, quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) will start after missing the last two games.

Cardinals’ Harrison Jr. approves concussion protocol

Marvin Harrison Jr. has cleared concussion protocol and is in line to play Monday night against the Los Angeles Charges, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Harrison suffered a concussion in Week 6 and wore a non-contact jersey during practice this week. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said it was “really encouraging” to see the rookie back on the field.

Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray targeted Harrison with a pass over the middle in the second quarter of their 34-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander broke up the pass and knocked Harrison to the turf. As Harrison fell, the crown of his helmet struck linebacker Isaiah McDuffie in the thigh, causing his head to snap back.

Harrison stood up after the blow, clearly dazed. He immediately fell back on the grass.

He went to the medical tent on the sideline and then left for the locker room with athletic trainers. The Cardinals announced before halftime that he was being evaluated for a concussion and ruled him out before the start of the third quarter.

Nabers ready to return for Giants

The New York Giants welcomed wide receiver Malik Nabers back to practice on Thursday. The rookie wideout was a full participant and subsequently visited an independent neurological consultant, who released him from the concussion protocol.

Nabers suffered a concussion during the Giants’ Week 4 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He has missed the past two games but looks to return for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Rams decision to have Kupp come Sunday

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp was back at practice this week for the first time since Week 2. Kupp suffered a high ankle sprain but was able to return on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Rams head coach Sean McVay said Kupp is questionable and a decision on whether he will play will be made Sunday morning.

“If he’s ready to go, we want him to play and if not, we’re hoping Thursday (against Minnesota) will be the day he does,” McVay said this week.
