An anonymous NFL coach believes a lack of synchronization is primarily responsible for quarterback Deshaun Watson and the Cleveland Browns’ offense so far this season.

“I actually think (Watson) still has a lot of arm, talent and skill, maybe not as mobile as he used to be. It seems like he’s incoherent, and the whole attack is incoherent. I have a lot of confidence in what is happening around him and that can lead to bad play very quickly. People underestimate how important that is. I don’t think it’s about talent or plans, they’re just not aligned.”

At 1-4, the Browns were among the NFL’s worst teams this season, and Watson’s inconsistent play has led to speculation about whether head coach Kevin Stefanski would be wise to make a change under center.
