Newcastle striker now eyeing move to Saudi Arabia in January

One of the Newcastle United players who was certain to leave the club in the summer transfer window was winger Miguel Almiron.

The Magpies were keen to sign a new right winger and even made an attempt to sign Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest, but were unable to secure the former Manchester United player.

Almiron’s long-term future does not lie at St James’ Park and that is clear from the manager’s preference.

According to GiveMeSport, Almiron could leave the Premier League club in the January transfer window.

It remains to be seen what options Almiron has in the winter transfer period.

The player himself would like to move to MLS, but he is also open to the idea of joining the Saudi Pro League given what is offered to him.

Eddie Howe’s team selection has made it clear that the player is not part of his future plans.

Almiron has played just two Premier League games this season, both times as a substitute.

His future depends on whether Newcastle can sign a new winger in the summer transfer window.

If Howe can sign a new winger, Almiron can leave, otherwise the winger will stay at the club until the end of the season.
