New England Patriots HC focuses on wild trade rumors

The New England Patriots were unable to get another win against the Tennessee Titans this week. Unfortunately, they ultimately fell with a final score of 20-17.

The loss dropped the Patriots to 2-7 on the season. Once again they are on their way to a choice with a very high depth.

Jerod Mayo and his team will need to make some big moves before next season if they want to get closer to contention. Drake Maye is the clear franchise quarterback for the team and has been a huge bright spot for New England, but the roster needs more talent.

That has led to quite a few rumors that the Patriots may be looking to make some trades before tomorrow’s NFL trade deadline.

After the loss to the Titans, Mayo expressed his thoughts on the upcoming trade deadline.

“A lot of that stuff is nonsense,” he said. “It’s frustrating sometimes because you always want to be very transparent with the player and let him know. They hear it. If a report comes out that is absolutely 100 percent false, and you have to discuss it with that person, it just takes more time and more space.”

Quite a few players on New England’s roster appear in trade talks. Among the names that have been mentioned quite often are wide receiver Kendrick Bourne, wide receiver Tyquan Thornton, wide receiver KJ Osborn, cornerback Jonathan Jones and even safety Kyle Dugger.

There are also plenty of other names that have emerged as trade candidates.

It seems highly likely that the Patriots will make more moves before the deadline. They’ve already shipped pass rusher Josh Uche. More players who don’t fit into the grand scheme of New England could very well be on new teams.

Expect a lot of Patriots rumors over the next 30 hours. Fans should prepare for what could be a very busy trade deadline.
