New AMD Zen 5 Gaming PCs are now available to order

The new AMD Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X desktop processors are finally here. They’re AMD’s first desktop processors built on the new Zen 5 architecture. Performance-wise, they’re similar to their 7000-series predecessors, but there are huge improvements in terms of power efficiency. While a bigger boost in performance would have been nice, the increased efficiency has significant benefits to the quality of the live experience that cannot be emphasized enough. Most notably, the increased efficiency means less heat is produced, meaning you don’t have to crank up your fans to manage stable temps, and you don’t have to spend a ton of money on oversized heatsinks or crazy water cooling setups. It also means your gaming PC isn’t going to put such a big dent in your electric bill.

If you’re not the DIY type and would rather buy a pre-built gaming PC, there are several options available that come pre-equipped with AMD’s new offerings. The ones we’ve listed are very gaming-worthy rigs and, depending on your configuration, can run any game at resolutions up to 4K.
