Netflix will add 97 new titles in July 2024 – These are the 3 most interesting

Netflix plans to add 97 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup in July 2024. Here are, in my humble opinion, the three most interesting new titles:

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F – Netflix movie
Eddie Murphy returns as Alex Foley, the smart Detroit detective turned Beverly Hills transplant in this fourth installment in the film series. Arguably Murphy’s best character over the years, he is once again joined by the usual BHC gang of idiots, including Judge Reinhold, Bronson Pinchot, John Ashton and Paul Reiser. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the hard-working Kevin Bacon are also joining us. The previews look predictable, but who expects Kubrickian plot twists from an Eddie Murphy film?! (In the storyline, Murphy returns to BH because his daughter’s life has been threatened.) Debuts on July 3, making this the perfect popcorn movie for the 4th of July in my household.

Cobra Kai: Season 6 Part 1 — Netflix series
This will be the sixth and final season of the Karate Kid reboot, and it will be split into three parts (with a quick karate kick), starting with the five episodes of part one on July 18. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are back in their original roles as Karate rivals, Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, have become grown men who continue to fulfill their childhood ambitions in the younger generation.

SPRINT — Netflix sports series
The Netflix original doc will follow the world’s best sprinters as they prepare and compete to reach the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The show will focus on Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles and Shericka Jackson, as well as runners from Jamaica, Great Britain, Ivory Coast, Kenya and Italy. It’s from the team behind Netflix’s acclaimed Formula 1 docuseries Drive to Survive, so it should be good. Debuts July 2.
