Translation

“My name is Brandon Huntley-Hatfield. I’m a transfer from the University of Louisville. On the court, I’m a disciplined guy. A disciplined player. A precision and aggressive player. There’s nothing I don’t think I can do. I just have to work at it every day and visualize myself doing it.”

“I want to be a winner. I want to be a great teammate. I want to be who God has called me to be.”

“I create my own shot. I can create more opportunities for our team to rebound offensively. I’m not just someone who wants to score a lot of points. I understand that there are other aspects of the game, like rebounding, defense, communication. I just try to be a ‘do-it-all’ guy, and make sure I always play hard.”

“The training has been good. Everyone has really worked hard to improve their skills in preparation for next season. So really it’s just being around those guys and building that camaraderie. It’s great.”

“You probably, more than likely, won’t see me smiling like that. You will, if we win, or if something crazy happens, or whatever. I like to make sure I’m even-keeled on the field. You expect a player to play hard every night for you, for our team and also for my family. I’m going to do whatever it takes to win. Go Wolfpack!”

_______

Huntley-Hatfield opted to run with the Wolfpack instead of a Final-4 with UCONN, Louisville and Pitt. He took an official visit to Raleigh this past weekend. Huntley-Hatfield was supposed to take an official visit to Pitt in 2 weeks, but that has now been canceled.

Huntley-Hatfield is a two-year starter at Louisville who started in all 32 games for the Cardinals this season. He averaged 12.9 points and 8.4 rebounds while shooting 56.7% from the field as a junior this year.

Huntley-Hatfield originally committed to Tennessee as a 5-star prospect in the Volunteer’s 2021 recruiting class. 247Sports and ESPN both ranked him as a 5-star prospect, with ESPN ranking him the #21 overall player nationally. 247Sports ranked him the #1 player in the state of Pennsylvania.

After playing in 35 games for Tennessee as a freshman, starting 12 of them, Huntley-Hatfield transferred to Louisville.

Huntley-Hatfield has one year left to play.
