According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Phoenix Suns released both Nassir Little and EJ Liddell on Wednesday to “clear a roster spot and create flexibility on contracts and deals throughout the season.”

According to that report, the Suns will waive Little and the $22 million remaining on his contract, allowing the Suns to pay him that money over seven years instead of the three years he had left.
