Nate Diaz Gets $500K for Boxing Fight, Jorge Masvidal Expects $300K Net

Tonight, former undisputed UFC lightweight title contender Nate Diaz returns to the squared circle in Anaheim, having surpassed incoming opponent Jorge Masvidal in terms of announced fights for the card. The Stockton veteran is set to receive $500,000 for his appearance at the Honda Center.

Diaz, a former undisputed lightweight title contender and winner of The ultimate fighter During his time with the UFC, he makes his second appearance in professional boxing on the West Coast tonight, taking on fellow UFC veteran Masvidal.

Diaz last competed in August of last year, when he made his professional boxing debut against Jake Paul, losing to the striker by unanimous decision.

Masvidal last played in the Octagon in April of last year against Gilbert Burns, where he suffered his fourth straight defeat by a one-sided unanimous decision.

And to headline an 11-fight card tonight in Anaheim, the California State Athletic Commission has released the unannounced fight purses for tonight’s card – with Diaz pocketing $500,000. Below is the full list of fight purses released by the CSAC, as obtained by MMA Junkie.
