ROANOKE, W.Va. – Wheeling’s Bryan Myers made it back-to-back titles in the West Virginia Senior Amateur Golf Tournament at Stonewall Jackson Resort.

Myers, the No. 1 seed, defeated four players for his second consecutive title in the match-play event, including fellow Wheeling golfer, 70-year-old Bobby Clark, on the third sudden-death playoff hole.

The 52-year-old Myers took down No. 16 Dell Adkins of Barboursville 3 and 1 in the round of 16, then ousted No. 8 John Bumgardner of Scott Depot 6 and 5 in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, Myers eliminated No. 4 Todd Westfall of Bridgeport, W.Va., 6 and 5.

Clark, who was seeded No. 6, defeated No. 11 Cledus Judd of Huntington in 22 holes in the round of 16. He then took down No. 3 Brian McPherson of Belpre, Ohio in the quarterfinals before eliminating No. 7 Michael Koreksi of Parkersburg 1up in the semifinals. Koreski had upset No. 2 Ian Patrick of Huntington 4 and 3 in the quarters.
