The top two undefeated teams in the Parks and Rec Co-ed Softball League faced off last week on Thursday, June 20 at the Logandale Ballfields Complex.

Last week’s article was corrected because a match score was incorrectly displayed when two teams were mixed up. Team Duvall defeated the Moapa Heat 25-1 on June 13.

And so, two undefeated teams: Team Duvall (3-0) and Team Stratton (3-0) took the field last week in a battle to see who would remain at the top of the league.

The streak continued for Team Duvall as they defeated Team Stratton by a score of 14-9 to remain solo in first place.

Team Duvall continued undefeated as they defeated the Swingers in their second game, scoring another nine points to the Swingers’ three points.

Meanwhile, even though Team Stratton dropped game after game, they picked up their bats and heated up again as they defeated Dirt Bags 22-4 in their second game of the night.

The full match results for the evening were as follows: Moapa Heat 17 vs. Hit & Run 14, Team Duvall 14 vs. Team Stratton 9, Team Stratton 22 vs. Dirt Bags 4, Dirt Bags 2 vs. Swingers 10, Swingers 3 vs. .Team Duvall9.

The new standings after week 3: 1-Team Duvall (5-0), 2-Team Stratton (4-1), 3-Moapa Heat (2-2), 4-Hit & Run (2-3), 4- Swingers (2-3), 5-Dirt Bags (0-5).

Kuppa Joe prepared the famous Bernie Burger and provided snacks for all attendees.

The matches for week 4 will take place on Thursday 27 June starting at 6pm, with one match on pitch 1 and then two matches every hour, with the final matches finishing around 9pm.
