Music Academy of Karate to Host Annual Camp and Fundraising Auction on July 27

SHELBY — The Music Academy of Karate and Empowerment will host its annual Karate Camp and Black Belt Promotion on July 27 from 1 to 5 p.m. at 3814 Bowman St.

Participants are requested to bring their own chair for the outdoor event.

The Music Academy of Karate and Empowerment, also known as MAKE, has a mission to give everyone the opportunity to become stronger through traditional karate, self-defense and strength training.

“Our goal is to help people become the best version of themselves,” says Sensei Reneta Music.

“We invite the community to tour our new nonprofit and bid on items to raise funds to help the school find a permanent home,” she said.

Currently the lessons are given in the Music Cellar.
