MTG World Championship 2024 – Full Schedule

The 30th Magic: The Gathering World Championship will take place in Las Vegas during MagicConwith gameplay in Twilight: House of Terror Limited draft and standard construction.

The MTG The World Championship returns to Las Vegas in 2024, with 116 players. All competitors earned a seed at the tournament through the top eight finishes at last year’s World Championship, players with 36 or more match points from the 2023-2024 Pro Tour season, the top finisher at a regional championship, the top two finishers from each MTG Arena Championship, best two finishers of MTGO Champion Showcase tournaments, top 32 ranked players and special invites. When is the MTG 2024 World Championship?

The 2024 Magic The World Championship will take place from October 25 to 27During those three days, players will compete in Twilight Mourning Draft and Standard Constructed rounds. MagicCon Vegas will also be held concurrently, with a variety of non-televised tournaments.

How to watch the MTG 2024 World Championship?

There will be an official WotC broadcast during all three days of the MTG 2024 World Championship via Twitch. Broadcasters and broadcast start times have not been announced at the time of writing. Drafts begin at 11:00 CT in Las Vegas.

What is the format of the MTG 2024 World Championship?

Day one and two of the MTG The 2024 World Championship will feature a total of 14 Swiss rounds with play-through options Twilight Mourning Draft and Standard Constructed. The last day is only Standard Constructed top eight.

• Three rounds will be played on October 25 Twilight Mourning Draft and four rounds of Standard Constructed. All players with 12 or more match points will advance to Saturday, October 26.
• Three rounds will be played on October 26 Twilight Mourning Draft and four rounds of Standard Constructed. Only the top eight advance and any player who reaches 12 match wins automatically advances to day three and does not have to play on day two.
• On October 27, the top eight will play Standard Constructed. All playoff matches will be the best three out of five, with players gaining access to the sideboards after game two is completed.

• Second: $50,000
• Third and Fourth: $25,000
