MTA organizes Futsal tournament to promote healthy work-life balance

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA) has organised the Takaful4All Inter-TO Futsal Tournament 2024 to promote healthy work-life balance among the nation’s takaful industry operators.

According to Mohd Radzuan Mohamed, CEO of the company, the tournament, which will take place at World of Sport in Subang Jaya nearby, will offer players the opportunity to “sit back and relax” and forge closer ties between players in the takaful industry under the auspices of Takaful4All.

“We also want to organize more activities that are non-work related, because many of our activities are work related, such as the Karnival Celik Kewangan.

“That’s why I said (during the refereeing) don’t be too serious. Enjoy the game because it’s a very fast game,” he told Bernama here today, adding that apart from futsal, they also encourage healthy lifestyle among takaful operators through bowling and fun runs, which always get a great response.

Meanwhile, Wan Saifulrizal Wan Ismail, CEO of Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad (PruBSN), said they are still committed to the partnership with MTA as they believe that sports can enhance mental and physical happiness.

“According to the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) 2023, one in three adults in Malaysia is not physically active, a statistic that underscores the importance of a good work-life balance.

“That is why PruBSN and MTA are committed to promoting various active lifestyle initiatives to foster a healthier environment within the community,” he said on behalf of PruBSN, which is the platinum sponsor of the tournament.

A total of 25 teams from the staff of AIA Public Takaful Bhd, AmMetLife Takaful Berhad, Etiqa Takaful Berhad, FWD Takaful Berhad and Great Eastern Takaful Berhad participated in the Takaful4All Inter-TO Futsal 2024, together with Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad, MTA, PruBSN, Sun Life Malaysia Takaful Berhad, Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad, Takaful Ikhlas Berhad and Zurich Malaysia.
