Motorcycle accident claims lives in Stamford

Stamford, CT – The Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is conducting an investigation into a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred near the intersection of Long Ridge Road and Brook Run Lane. The incident took place around 12.10pm on Thursday

A 2014 BMW motorcycle was traveling north on Long Ridge Road when it left the roadway near Brook Run Lane. The vehicle struck a fence and then collided with a tree, throwing the rider from the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, identified as 44-year-old Stamford resident Heber Lopez, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
