Midfielder posts emotional farewell message on Instagram after Newcastle deal

Newcastle United have signed the highly talented English midfielder Jayden Kouossu from West Bromwich Albion, according to a report. The Secret Explorer.

Kouossu, who had trials at Fulham and Chelsea, eventually opted for the Magpies in what is seen as a significant move for the club.

The young midfielder confirmed his departure from West Brom on Instagram, posting an emotional farewell message after eight years with the Baggies.

Kouossu wrote in his post:

“Never thought this day would come, but it is with a heavy heart that I announce that after 8 years with the club I have officially left @wba.”

“I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the coaches and staff who have pushed me to my limits year after year, and to all the great teammates on the field over the years.”

“But I believe this decision was necessary and the story must continue, thank you baggies.”

Part of Newcastle’s youth-focused strategy

Kouossu’s arrival fits into Newcastle’s wider strategy to invest in young talent following the takeover of Saudi PIF.

The club was initially led by former Technical Director Dan Ashworth and is now led by Paul Mitchell. The club is focused on building a sustainable future by recruiting promising players to strengthen their academy and first team.
