Medicine Hat Stampede Day 3 Brings More Rodeo Competition

The second day of the Medicine Hat Exhibit and Stampede has begun.

The Stampede is Medicine Hat’s largest summer festival, drawing thousands to the city for a professional rodeo, fireworks and music.

Tickets are $10 for adults. Tickets for children 12 and under are $5. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or via Tickets.MHStampede.com.

Each day starts at 12:00 noon, except for the parade which starts at 9:00 am on Thursday.

While Wednesday concludes with a grandstand night show, the festival runs from Thursday through Saturday until the fireworks at 10:45 p.m.

The gates opened at 12:00.

Shortly after opening, a new ranch competition was organized.

The professional rodeo continues at 8pm

A new ticketing approach for the Midway has drawn mixed reactions from both pros and cons.

Guests can still use cash and card to purchase a wristband and credits for attractions, points of sale and more.

There is a petting zoo, sheep shearing, a hypnotist and several musicians.
