Medals galore for High River Minor football teams – OkotoksOnline.com

The spring season has come to an end for High River Minor Soccer and many teams have ended their season on a triumphant note.

The preseason playoffs took place last weekend at Bill Robertson Field in Okotoks.

Two High River teams won their final games to claim gold medals to cap off their seasons.

The U9 Blue Lightning defeated the Okotoks United BU9 DA 1-0 to win gold in their division.

Elsewhere, the U11 Rascals won gold after beating High River’s U11 Rapids in the final.

The U15/17 Strikers also came away with a medal, claiming bronze for their division.

Players hoping to improve their skills over the summer can participate in the Okotoks United Summer Camp taking place July 15-19.
