McAdorey and Naso Named CSC Academic All-District Finalists

DURHAM – Duke Men’s Lacrosse All-Americans Andrew McAdorey And Jake Naso continue to garner honors, earning CSC Academic All-District At-Large recognition as announced by College Sports Communicators. McAdorey and Naso were selected as finalists to advance to the national voting for CSC Academic All-America.

McAdorey and Naso are the seventh and eighth different Blue Devils to earn all-district awards. It’s the ninth and tenth time Duke has made the team with Max Quinzani and that three times. Wilson Stephenson is the most recent winner, winning all-district and All-America third team honors in 2023.

A versatile offensive player, McAdorey led Duke’s first midfield unit with 28 goals and nine assists for 37 points. He scored at least one point in 18 of 19 games this season and registered at least one goal in 16 of them. Returning to midfield after one season on offense, McAdorey never missed a beat. He had multiple goals in eight games and finished the ACC list with six goals and one assist for seven points. The St. Anthony’s product has started all 55 games of his career and has 87 goals and 50 assists for 137 points. In the classroom, McAdorey carries a 3.55 GPA as a political science major. He is a three-time All-ACC Academic member.

Duke’s faceoff leader for the past four years, Naso has cemented himself in both the Duke and NCAA record books. Naso, Duke’s record holder in faceoff wins (1,001) and ground balls (554), has been incredibly consistent for the Blue Devils, winning 59.3 percent of his faceoffs. Naso earned USILA first-team All-America honors as a junior, winning a career-best 315 faceoffs to rank fifth in NCAA Division I history. Playing in 69 career games, Naso’s 1,001 wins from the spot and 554 ground balls rank seventh in NCAA history, while his 1,660 faceoffs taken are the second-most of any Division I player of all time.

Naso recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science, completing his undergraduate program with a 3.54 GPA. As the first male lacrosse player to win an ACC Postgraduate Scholarship, Naso will pursue a Master of Management Studies degree from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business next year.

The NCAA and NAIA Men’s At-Large Academic All-America® First, Second and Third Team winners will be announced on Wednesday, July 17. The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs receive financial support, in part, from the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC in administering aspects of awarding for the 2023-24 Division II and III Academic All-America® programs.
