The 39-year-old pitched five shutout innings while allowing just one hit in the win. Scherzer also struck out four batters while walking no one on just 57 pitches. The expectation is that the Rangers will restart Scherzer. It’s worth noting that his speed was a bit off, but that clearly wasn’t a huge problem on this outing.—Andy Webb – RotoBaller
