MATTIA BELLUCCI VS BEN SHELTON PREDICTION

The clash pits 23-year-old Mattia Bellucci against 21-year-old Ben Shelton, with the latter favored to emerge victorious. This is the American’s second full year on the ATP Tour and he will be looking to build on his stunning 2023 campaign, which saw him reach the semi-finals of the US Open and the quarter-finals in Australia. He only reached the second round last year and grass has not exactly been a surface he has found easy so far. His disappointing performances in recent weeks will serve as a reminder that he cannot rest on his laurels against anyone on grass, and that includes Bellucci.

Bellucci had to get through the qualifiers last week and he did so in style, beating Daniel Goffin on Thursday to secure his spot. The left-handed pitcher clearly has a lot of potential and while he may not have been in the news as much as Shelton lately, he shouldn’t be underestimated. He has more experience on grass than Shelton and he can cause the American a lot of problems. Shelton has to be the favorite, but match betting may be the way forward and expect it to be competitive.
