Rodgers has previously warned clubs that O’Riley will not leave Celtic for a song this summer:

“There will obviously be bids coming in for Matt O’Riley, but I repeat, there is no reason for us to sell and we don’t want to sell,” he said. Sky Sports News.

“If an offer comes in that matches the player’s valuation, then it’s a different story.

“Until then I’m pretty relaxed because he’s training really well and working really hard. Until that changes, we’ll just keep focusing on the performance.

“The challenge for teams coming to a club like Celtic is that sometimes they put more value on the competition than the player.

“What I think is important is that when a player leaves here, he pays the price for it. And that doesn’t always happen.

“No player will leave here unless the price is right. And at the moment there is no team that comes close to that.”
