Mass Effect board game available for pre-order, with £240 miniatures bundle

There’s a new Mass Effect game scheduled for release in October 2024, but no, it’s not Mass Effect 5.

Mass Effect: Priority Hagalaz is a one- to four-player branching narrative board game set during the events of Mass Effect 3.

As Shepard, Liara, Tali, Garrus, and Wrex, you must recover vital information for the Reaper War effort from a crashed Cerberus cruiser through missions that unlock new story opportunities and increase the loyalty of your teammates.

Priority Hagalaz seems to fit the Mass Effect vibe well, and it looks like it too. There’s some gorgeous artwork showing Shepard in action and the crashed Cerberus ship. And if you’re willing to pay, you can also opt to add an army of highly detailed miniatures to play with.

The base Mass Effect: Priority Hagalaz board game costs £40 and includes everything you need to play. However, if you fancy upgrading with a set of better miniatures, you can pay up to £240 for a bundle which includes various other packs, including Shepard (male and female) and squadmates, plus Reaper and Cerberus enemy forces.

BioWare’s upcoming Mass Effect video game sequel will return to the franchise’s home base of the Milky Way after its foray into Andromeda. We don’t expect this to happen for a few years, however, as the developer has focused on finishing Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
